RE/MAX Lettings Malta, the leading service provider in terms of long term accommodation and commercial office space, co-founded and sponsors the event, which celebrates employee excellence within the iGaming industry.
The Lettings arm of local real estate giant RE/MAX Malta has sponsored ‘iGaming Idol’, a major awards event in which iGaming industry professionals recognise and reward employee innovation and excellence within the fast-growing global iGaming industry.
The first event of its kind to focus on individual employee contribution instead of gaming software or products, ‘iGaming Idol’ was co-founded by COO of RE/MAX Malta, Jeff Buttigieg, who noted parallels in the values of the iGaming industry with those of RE/MAX, which also upholds the talent and innovation of its team members.
“We are delighted to be sponsoring ‘iGaming Idol’, and look forward to shining a light on the constant and tireless hard work of the people behind the huge success of the iGaming sector around the world,” says RE/MAX Malta’s regional lettings manager Edward Agius. “Such an important awards event yet again brings to the forefront how utterly pivotal talented, innovative and committed team members are to the overall success of a company, as has been proven time and again here at RE/MAX Malta.”
Recognising an opportunity to give back to the community through ‘iGaming Idol’, Mr Buttigieg hopes to highlight and reward those working behind the scenes in their companies, who are not only a crucial part of the iGaming industry’s ongoing success, but have also put Malta on the global business map through their commitment.
“Beyond contributing to the industry in their specific roles, it is the people – leaders in their own companies – who have sacrificed, been innovative, employed both locals and foreigners, rented office space, and who have made outstanding contributions to the industry, which has had a knock-on effect and enhanced the Maltese business landscape in general.”
The flagship gaming competition will bring together iGaming industry professionals in a glamourous Gala event held in Malta on 26th September, at which 16 of some 150 shortlisted candidates will receive an iGaming Idol award according to their specific roles within the gaming sector. A portion of the revenue of ticket sales for the event will be donated to the Malta Community Chest Fund.
For the second year in a row, an award will be presented to celebrate ‘Outstanding Contribution to the Industry’, which has also been specifically sponsored by RE/MAX MALTA.
