Well, you may well be in with the chance of winning Marketing Idol of the Year at the upcoming iGaming Awards – and the time to enter is now!
The iGaming Awards are the most talked-about new awards for the iGaming industry, and they’re dedicated to rewarding the very best people in the sector. The Marketing Award, specifically, celebrates those working in marketing roles, including in acquisition, retention/CRM, affiliation, campaign management, content, copywriting, branding, SEO/SEM/PPC, social media, events, marketing assisting, web-mastering and more.
Rikard Rinaldo – Head of Brand, Mr Green
This high-energy category within iGaming Idol will be adjudicated by three top judges: Head of Brand for Mr Green Rikard Rinaldo, SEO Manager for GUTS Eugen Platon, and Marketing Manager for NetEnt Trevor Westacott.
Trevor Westacott – NetEnt – Marketing Manager
“I believe that this industry is only as great as the people that work in it,” says Trevor. “There are many award shows out there but most are product-focused. iGaming Idol puts employees at the centre. It is important to acknowledge the great work we all do to keep driving this dynamic industry. When it comes to this award, I think anyone within any marketing team can and should apply. It is my experience that contributions to marketing are not made by marketers alone. In the winner I will be looking for overall understanding of the bigger picture, strategies that endeavour to stand out in the market, and a focus on customer centricity.”
Agreeing, Rikard says: “Malta is full of talent but rarely leaves room for the individuals on the award scenes. I think iGaming Idol will provide the recognition an employees deserves for their career path and through a fun event. I am looking for passion, talent and personality.”
Eugen Platon – GUTS – SEO Manager
Eugen says: “I’m looking forward to seeing the fantastic results and amazing campaign ideas that iGaming professionals are bringing to their companies. My tip to those taking part? It’s not the winning that’s vital, but that taking part. Everyone involved should really enjoy the very first edition of iGaming Idol!”
Rikard and Trevor also have tips for those entering this category. “Try to show who you are as a marketeer and don’t try to copy a fashionable trend,” says Rikard. “If you are rewarded for a campaign representing your personality, the higher the chance you will be discovered for your uniqueness and get to work with the kind of campaign you love.” Finally, Trevor says: “Enjoy it, have fun and do not overthink it. I am sure that we have the best skills and talents in the industry and you are one of them.”
